I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. – Psalm 116:1-2

These two verses have become dear to me because I discovered them at a time of deep suffering and out of that trial I came to know my God as “the God who hears.” The big and powerful, almighty, all-knowing God cares enough about me to make an effort to listen to my voice. He leans down and listens, like a father to a small child. He cares about me. He cares about you. And He wants to hear our voices. What an amazing, caring, and personal God!
